Who needs to apply

All graduate students seeking funding through the Department of Comparative Literature for the following academic year need to complete an application.

How to apply

The graduate employment application is located on the COLT Courses website: http://casitweb.uoregon.edu/coltcourses/. See the COLT Courses website page for instructions.

Timeline

Deadlines are during the academic year prior to the teaching year.

Winter term

  • Friday, Week 3: Deadline to submit applications
  • Friday, Week 8: Notifications of appointments
  • Friday, Week 9: GEs notify department of decision: “accept,” “decline,” or “pending notification of other award”

Spring term

  • May 12: Final day for COLT GEs to accept or decline appointment in COLT Courses (if application for another opportunity remains pending, immediately notify Dept. Head)
  • May 1-31: If you have been appointed to an Instructor of Record position for a COLT Course, follow instructions on Course Assignment and Development webpage.
  • June 1: GE receives Notification of Appointment in DuckWeb
