Covid-19 Protocols for Comparative Literature offices
Each University department has a “Resumption Plan” which outlines the safety measures to be followed when occupying departmental office space. Protocols in the plan must be followed when inside Villard Hall and our department’s rooms.
Comparative Literature Resumption Plan
Access
Graduate Employee office keys open the comparative literature office. Key requests may be submitted to the office manager.
Building access
Access to the outside door when the building is locked is obtained by e-mailing your request, along with the five digit proxy code on the back of your UO ID card, to the office manager. The card reader entrance is the south entrance facing Deady Hall.
Please note: if you have not used your card to enter Villard Hall in over a year, the UO Card Office will deactivate your card access. To keep your card access active, simply flash your card against the reader periodically. The door does not have to be locked for this to be recorded as using your card access. If your card is activated, the light will flash green. If your card is not activated, the light on the top of the reader will flash red.
Seminar room
The key to the Seminar Room is available in the Comp Lit office.
The key to the A-V equipment in the Seminar Room is available by request from the office manager.
The Seminar Room may be reserved by e-mailing a request to the office manager.

Copying, printing, and scanning allocations
Students are welcome to unlimited scanning. Graduate Employees are allowed 600 black-and-white copies and 600 black-and-white print pages per term on the department’s Xerox WorkCentre. Graduate employees needing color reproductions or more than the stated number of prints/copies may request additional allocations by filling out the Syllabus Cover Sheet. We are not allowed to use the department’s budget for graduate student academic expenses. However, there is a courtesy allocation of 100 copies and 200 prints per term. Graduate students with greater needs should arrange for printing at other facilities.
Using the Xerox WorkCentre
Graduate students enter the last four digits of their UO ID for access to the Xerox WorkCentre. Printing can be launched from any of the COLT desktop computers or from personal laptops.
